An IMC (Instrument Meteorological Conditions) Rating allows you to fly in conditions where cloud and visibility are below that required for the PPL (3Km).

The IMC course requires a minimum 15 hours flying instruction, a written ground exam and IMC flight test with an examiner. Along with the normal flying manoeuvres you will learn to use VOR, ADF, DME, instrument approaches using the ILS or VOR/DME and NDB aids.

This course requires concentration and preparation but will increase your flying skills and your confidence.
